The GBWA Board is made up of passionate volunteers, dedicated to ensuring the girls, leaders, families and churches we partner with have the best possible experience with Girls' Brigade as we continue to aim for girls' lives transformed, and God's world enriched.

Marilyn Louwen

State Commissioner

Marilyn is the Captain of Gosnells company, as well as (in her spare time) the Principal of Rehoboth Christian College (7-12) in Kenwick. As of the 2023 AGM, Marilyn is serving her 2nd term as State Commissioner.

Coral Anderson

Governance

Coral has been involved with GB in many capacities over the years. She comes with a
wide knowledge of Girls’ Brigade and governance having served as GBWA State
Commissioner and GBA National Commissioner.

Chris Morgan

Finance Officer

Chris has a background in finance, with many years of experience as an accountant and business owner. She has served GB faithfully on the Board for 9 years and is coming to the end of her term as Finance Officer.

Lydia Kuilenburg

State Chaplain

Lydia has been involved with Girls' Brigade in a number of roles over the years, including sitting on the State Council and most recently captaining Canning Vale company (currently in recess while the church building is renovated). We are excited to welcome Lydia into the role of State Chaplain starting her first term in January 2024!

Serina Abraham

Youth Development

Serina is the Captain of Kenwick company and has a passion for sharing God’s love and developing our young leaders. As part of her portfolio she is working closely with our regional coordinators and investigating opportunities to partner with organisations that align with GB aims and values.

Corina Brown

Risk Management Officer

Corina is the Captain of Riverton company! She is studying law and is passionate about the safety of all participants and leaders. She advocates for self care and the importance of mental, emotional and spiritual safety, and believes that looking after our captains, leaders and volunteers is how GBWA will continue in longevity.

Jacqueline Nel

Social Media & Communications

Having recently stepped down from the Pioneers' leader role at Woodvale company to move with her husband to Launceston, Tasmania in the beginning of 2024, Jac has extensive experience working with children and volunteers. She is passionate about GB and seeing girls thrive in all areas of their lives.

Michelle Ward

State Operations Manager

While not technically a Board role, Michelle oversees and maintains all the numerous day-to-day operations of GBWA, and without her nothing would ever get done! She is also the visionary and Course Director for Leadership WA and Pioneer leader at Gosnells company.
