Girls’ Brigade WA

Girls’ Brigade Western Australia (GBWA) is part of a worldwide Christian  movement. In 2018 GB will have partnered with Churches for 125 years. GBWA is committed to seeing girls lives transformed and God’s world enriched. Together we help girls and leaders seek, serve and follow Christ.

GBWA groups (also called companies) are an out of school based program which empowers girls and young women to develop their gifts and skills, particularly in leadership, and to discover what it means to have life to the full in their generation.

The groups vary in numbers and GBWA partners with many styles of Churches but all with the same aim – that girls will discover what it means to live life to the full in relationship with Jesus Christ.

Each GBWA group caters for girls from Pre Primary to Year 12 with age appropriate programmes: Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and Pioneers. Girls come together to learn new skills, take part in activities and events and discover Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment.

Leaders are screened, (Working with children check), and are appointed by the group’s partner church.

GBWA provides training, resources and mentoring. We ensure a safe and encouraging environment for everyone.
